Keeping chickens in the garden is now a very popular hobby and comes with many benefits, not least yummy eggs!

But where do you start? For the whole picture it is best to get yourself booked on a dedicated chicken keeping course. You can’t beat that hands-on experience – observing, touching, and getting a real feel of what it would like to keep chickens. The ultimate benefit to you is that your chicken course tutor keeps chickens and is there to teach and share with you all their knowledge and experiences of keeping chickens. They’ll be able to advise you on everything from the different breeds, housing, care, feed, protection and health issues as well as the general welfare of your girls.

For most, keeping chickens in the back garden is a real joy and your care is rewarded with your very own eggs. It doesn’t get better than that.
